There’s a story behind every smile.

There’s a story behind every smile. An expression that is used to indicate ‘pleasure or amusement’, something that can be expressed in many ways by an individual and perceived and understood in many different ways by another. It is a simple gesture that has so many different meanings, a simple gesture that is so diverse and beautiful. There is a reason that every smile has been expressed, whether it’s in conversation with the presence of people or expressed intrinsically. The value is unique to the individual, whether it is laughing at a joke or smiling at a loved ones actions. Every smile is unique, both to the individual and to the world. A smile indicates an emotion, something that can only be completely felt by the beholder. It can be acknowledged similarly to the original emotion by an external empathetic source, yet fully understood by the beholder. Life is full of motorways where everybody is going in the same direction or a roundabout where people group off into di...

‘Love, not Hate’

The promotion of ‘Love, not Hate’ is sending a vital message to the world, showing that the only way to succeed is by spreading love, accepting people for who they are and who they want to be. In a world corrupted with hatred and evil allows for the opportunity to be better, to do better and to want to be the best we can be, for ourselves and for others. Understanding that the future is within each other and helping each other through the good times and the bad times. This may be a controversial statement, yet to live the life we want we must allow others do the same. Encouraging a future inclusive of everyone, accepting diversity and focusing on the importance of a democracy, a system that allows input and a contrast of ideas, yet a collection of EVERYONES ideas to create a representative society, to allow all people to have their opinion valued. Life shouldn’t be a process of being afraid of one and other, or judging someone else for who they are, focus on what’s i...

Individuality and acceptance

We live in a world of prejudice, stereotypes and discrimination. A world where others believe it is in their power to belittle others. To make people belittle their value and decrease their self-belief and confidence. A world where others believe it is in their power to decide others decisions. People are only engaged if the topic someone is talking about is of interest to them, we are too quick to dismiss others because we don’t believe the conversation or situation has value to our lives. Understanding that there is a reason behind everything people say and do, a reason which may be influenced by someone’s passion and enthusiasm about a topic, or even a mask to someone’s identity. A mask of individuality to reflect societies norms, to ensure there is no criticism. Criticism that is taught and influenced by the need to ‘fit’ in. Everything must be labelled now a days. For example: if you like comic books you’re automatically a ‘nerd’, if you’re a girl and you like sport you ...

People

The world is so caught up in modern day advances, whether that’s of intelligence, technology or money; that the most valuable thing in life can be left aside. People, people are people and people are fantastic. Surround yourself with good people, people with ambition, people with goals and purpose, people that care about other people. The way you present yourself in a situation will influence the dynamic of the team. Positivity, happiness and belief rubs off. “Be the kind of person you want to meet”. Be happy being you, because you’re awesome. You may be unaware of it, but you’re an inspiration. Question 1: Who is your inspiration? Question 2: Why are they your inspiration? For me the answer is simple. It’s because my inspiration is the kind of person I want to be. Their approach to a situation and their approach with other people inspires me to be the person to continue their legacy. The legacy of building rapport, the legacy of being positive, the legacy of being an ...

Growth

Even if you’re not ready, the world isn’t going to go in standstill and wait for you to catch up. It’s going to keep moving forward, you can’t pause time and hope that eventually you’ll be in the right place at the ‘right’ time. Say life’s a game, and you’re playing on beginner level when you have the ability to go above and beyond and tackle the expert level. Do you really have the motivation to continually succeed in your comfort zone but never improve?  Is that really winning? I know I’d rather play the game on expert level and fail numerous times before I succeed. I believe in myself and my dedication that I can achieve whatever is put in front of me. Why? Because that’s the kind of person I want to be. I want to be the kind of person who wants to learn, the kind of person to take any opportunity to develop themselves to make themselves the best possible version of them in that moment of time. Life is ongoing, it continuously moves forward. You need to be willing to take...
