Learn to sit back and take a look at the bigger picture. The
picture is made up of thousands of different pigments, different colours, different
thoughts and different meanings. The ‘bigger picture’ is essentially creating a
collage of individual and contrasting images that work inclusively to represent
something bigger, your world. Essentially life is like a jigsaw puzzle, where
each piece represents unique and meaningful factors that interlink and connect
to one another in a constant network of emotions that link an individual’s
values to their actions in parallel to their reactions. Understanding what is
important in your life is imperative in guiding your actions, working as a
connecting piece from your internal thoughts to your external responses
maintaining a healthy equilibrium.
Your three dimensional being inclusive of your values,
actions and reactions contribute to the jigsaw yet are not isolated in its
making. If they say life is about the bigger picture than factors other than
your being have to be taken into consideration. What can you control? Your
environment, although this is an extrinsic source you have the final say to
what environment you open yourself to. If the environment doesn’t suit you,
change it. Surround yourself with good people, people that are going to
influence your mind, who are going to champion you to be the best possible
version of yourself. You can’t control other people’s actions but you can
control your own, you decide where the puzzle piece goes on the picture. If it doesn’t
fit, try something different.
Everybody’s jigsaw is different; everybody has different
ideas of their ideal ‘bigger picture’. You may share some of the same
components as the person sitting next to you, yet your piece connects to an
alternative segment. Allow yourself to place the pieces down by yourself, but
do not hesitate to allow others pass you them.
